The Fund for Gulf Communities

“the FUND”

Reaching out to people impacted by the Oil spill.

In June of 2011, the Gulf Coast Community Foundation received a $4 million grant as part of the Fund for Gulf Communities (the Fund) created by an anonymous donation to Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors.  The primary purpose of this Fund is to enhance the resiliency of the Gulf Coast’s diverse communities and address some of the unmet needs of individuals, families and children significantly affected by the Deep-water Horizon oil spill.  The Gulf Coast Community Foundation is working to achieve this goal by collaborating with and funding South Mississippi nonprofit organizations providing services to people in need.

This section of the MGCCF website was created as a resource for individuals and families who need assistance as a result of the spill.  Contact information has been provided for the organizations supported by this Fund.  Please call organizations directly to receive additional information regarding program guidelines and eligibility requirements.
