The Scholarship is to financially assist individuals who have chosen to further their education through pursuit of a college degree in a helping or human service profession. Individuals who have selected a behavioral health field of study will be given greater consideration. Deadline August 30th, 2010.

A FUND OF THE GULF COAST COMMUNITY FOUNDATION
The Genesis Foundation Youth Development Fund seeks to provide grants to non-profit (501c3) organizations and public and private schools on the Mississippi Gulf Coast whose efforts are focused on enhancing the educational, moral and spiritual development of children and youth. Examples of appropriate projects/organizations include, but are not limited to:
- Jr. Leadership Programs
- Tutorial Programs
- After School Programs
- Academic Enhancement Programs
Grants are awarded each summer, deadline for applications: July 31st, 2010.

The Gulf Coast Community Foundation announced today that 5 recipients were awarded grants from the Leo W. Seal Teacher Recognition Fund. The recipients are: Jeanette Baucum, Oak Park Elementary; Jill Lipski, Thomas Reeves Elementary; Amy Rogers, Purvis Upper Elementary, Biloxi High School; Roma Flowers and (back row) Jordan Roy, St. Stanislaus College Prep School.

5/12/2010 - The Gulf Coast Community Foundation Announces Grant Awards
The Gulf Coast Community Foundation and Board of Directors recently approved grants totaling over $7,000.00. These grants were made from the Pat Santucci Friends of Public Education Fund and the Roy Anderson Corp. Fund. The Roy Anderson Corporation Fund supports projects that benefit children in Hancock, Harrison or Jackson Counties.

4/7/2010 - KNIGHT FOUNDATION COMMITS UP TO $1 MILLION TO GULF COAST COMMUNITY FOUNDATION
The Gulf Coast Community Foundation will announce Monday, April 12, 2010 that the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation will invest up to $1 million to foster an “informed, engaged” Biloxi over the next seven years through the Gulf Coast Community Foundation.
